Message Just an important FYI to avoid a frustrating brake bleed procedure. I followed my 1991 OEM Nissan Service Manual to the "T" for bleeding the brakes with the following sequence:

Left Rear Caliper -> Right Rear Caliper -> Left Front Caliper -> Right Front Caliper -> Front ABS Actuator -> Rear ABS Actuator.

There was no mention of disconnecting the battery. After bleeding via this sequence twice, my brake pedal wasn't building up pressure like it should. It would drop to the floor too easily when pressed.

I checked out the TT.net TECH. Step 6 The brake bleed sequence was totally different:

Left Rear Caliper -> Right Front Caliper -> Left Front Caliper -> Right Rear Caliper -> Front ABS Actuator -> Rear ABS Actuator.

Not sure why the criss-cross bleed method is used here verse the OEM manual pattern above. Is it better?

Anyway, the TECH mentions disconnecting the battery so I started to think what was electrical in this brake system. The ABS actuators may be engaged or something and trapping air. Needless to say, when I disconnected the battery and re-bled the front and rear actuators, the brake pedal pressure came back to normal. Thought I would share.

P.S. Let me know if you have any ideas on the different bleed sequences. Just curious. (The OEM manual procedure worked fine for me.)
